During the CES 2026 trade show, Acer showcased four new monitors, featuring extreme refresh rates of 1000 Hz, as well as QD-OLED technology, and high-resolution 5K and 6K panels designed for professional work. Among the new products was a 27-inch monitor breaking the 1000 Hz barrier, a 34-inch gaming QD-OLED, as well as a 32-inch 6K IPS monitor without touch and a 27-inch 5K model aimed at gamers.
1000 Hz – a breakthrough, but not for everyone
The Predator XB273U F6 is one of the first LCD monitors to officially exceed the 1000 Hz mark. The IPS panel offers:
up to 1000 Hz at 1280×720,
500 Hz at native 2560×1440.
Although 1000 Hz is a symbolic milestone, LCD still falls short of OLEDs in terms of motion clarity. Today's 720 Hz OLED panels, with over 50 times shorter response time, still provide a clearer image in motion.
QD-OLED 360 Hz – but is it V-Stripe?
The Predator X34 F3 is a 34-inch curved QD-OLED monitor with an ultra-wide resolution of 3440×1440 and a refresh rate of 360 Hz. It offers:
0.03 ms response time,
very high contrast,
up to 500 nits brightness in HDR.
The specifications suggest the use of the new generation of Samsung's QD-OLED panels with a V-Stripe subpixel layout, enhancing text sharpness. However, Acer has not confirmed or denied this yet – the manufacturer is being asked for details.
5K and 6K for Professionals and Gamers
Acer also presented:
ProDesigner PE320QX – 32-inch 6K (6016×3384) IPS monitor for creators, very similar to the earlier PE320QXT, but lacking a touch layer,
Nitro XV270X P – 27-inch 5K monitor with a refresh rate of 165 Hz at 5K or 330 Hz at 1440p, equipped with HDMI 2.1. Despite marketing claims of HDR, the monitor does not offer true HDR in practice.
The launch of all models is planned for Q3 2026.
