The premiere of a new film produced in collaboration with the "Technology Channel"! This time we are tackling a topic that you most often ask about after purchasing a TV: does calibration make sense, when and who benefits from it – and how much does it realistically give. The representative of our editorial team is the founder Maciej Koper with 15 years of experience in display calibration – from home televisions to post-production studios (yes, we calibrated twice at Netflix's headquarters in the Netherlands).
What will you see in the film?
how a professional television calibration process looks step by step,
comparison of the image before and after calibration on an OLED television,
differences between Film, Standard, and Game modes,
how calibration affects colours, black, HDR, and blue light,
real stories from customers – from calibrations in homes to… the headquarters of Netflix,
answers to the most common questions: when calibration makes sense, whether it’s worth it for a cheap TV, how often it needs to be repeated, and why manufacturers deliberately do not set televisions perfectly.
You will also learn about the difference between calibration for movies and that for gamers, how to choose the "day/night" profile, and whether such a service can be added when purchasing a television, for example, at Media Expert.
Finally — live effect: you will see how much the image changes after calibration and whether the difference is really worth the price.
