LG has officially launched its first 115-inch TV. The QNED93B model uses Mini LED technology, offers more than 1,000 local dimming zones and a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz. The biggest surprise? In Germany the unit is already available for around €7,000, which is significantly less than the first TVs of this size cost.
115-inch, Mini LED and over 1,000 local dimming zones
The LG 115QNED93B6 is a huge TV with a diagonal of almost 3 metres and 4K resolution. Its screen area is more than four times larger than that of a 55-inch model.
The TV uses Mini LED backlighting with over 1,000 local dimming zones and Dynamic QNED Color Pro technology. Image processing is handled by the α8 AI Gen3 processor.
It also includes Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and webOS 26. Gamers can expect a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz in 4K, support for VRR and AMD FreeSync Premium. A Motion Booster 330 mode is also available, operating at a reduced Full HD resolution.
A huge screen for significantly less money
The most interesting thing, however, is the price. In the United States LG priced the TV at $12,999, but in Germany there are already offers for around €6,999.
That's a big change compared with 2023, when the first 115-inch TCL TVs cost about $27,000.
In Poland the model is also appearing in shop offers, though prices vary widely. For example, one domestic retailer lists it to order for 59,999 zł.
However, it's worth remembering that more than 1,000 local dimming zones is relatively few for such a huge screen. LG is therefore prioritising size and an attractive price, rather than competing with the most advanced Mini LEDs on contrast.
