Yamaha has announced the B200A, a compact soundbar for televisions or desktop setups. The unit is about 60 cm wide, supports Dolby Atmos and houses a subwoofer in a single enclosure. It's aimed primarily at smaller rooms.
Small soundbar with full connectivity
For connecting equipment it offers HDMI eARC/ARC, an optical input and a 3.5 mm AUX. There's also Bluetooth for playing music from your phone. The B200A can be placed below a screen or mounted on the wall. The manufacturer has also provided app control. The built-in subwoofer means you don't need to find space for a separate box by the sofa or under the desk. That may matter more than the number of features for people who simply want to tidy up their setup.
Four sound modes and starting price
There are four sound modes to choose from: Movie, Standard, Stereo and Game. The Clear Voice feature is designed to improve dialogue clarity, and Bass Extension to enhance low frequencies.

Sales in the US are due to start in November, with the price set at $249.95. The US press release does not state the Polish price or an availability date. On paper, the B200A's greatest advantage appears to be the combination of compact size and a wide range of ports.
