XGIMI has launched the RS30 Pro High-Brightness projector on the Chinese market, aimed at home cinema enthusiasts seeking a bright picture. The device offers 4K resolution, a laser light source with a claimed brightness of 4500 CVIA lumens and an adjustable aperture. It also includes features that make image setup easier.
4500 CVIA lumens and a wide colour gamut
The XGIMI RS30 Pro High-Brightness uses DLP technology with a 0.47-inch DMD array and the QuaLas42 laser light source, featuring 26 laser diodes. The manufacturer quotes a brightness of 4500 CVIA lumens, about 40% more than the standard RS30 Pro.
The projector also offers 98% coverage of the BT.2020 colour space, a native contrast of 4000:1 and a dynamic contrast of 60,000:1. The adjustable aperture ranges from f/2.0 to f/5.0, adapting the amount of light to the content being displayed. Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced are also supported.
Lens Shift and price in China
The new model is equipped with optical zoom and a Lens Shift function that allows shifting the image without physically moving the projector. According to XGIMI, you only need about 3 metres from the screen to obtain a 100-inch image.
It is fitted with two HDMI 2.1 ports, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and Harman Kardon speakers with a total output of 24 W.
The XGIMI RS30 Pro High-Brightness costs 7,299 yuan in China, around PLN 4,300. For now the manufacturer has not confirmed the Polish price or the availability date.
