Microsoft has revealed a list of new games that will be released on Xbox consoles and PC between 18th and 22nd May. The biggest release of the week will undoubtedly be Forza Horizon 6, but players will also receive plenty of other new productions.
Forza Horizon 6 takes players to Japan
The new installment of the popular racing series will debut on 19 May and will be available immediately on Xbox Game Pass. This time, the game's action is set in Japan, where players will be able to explore a vast open world inspired by the local culture, cities, and mountain roads. The creators promise over 550 cars, an extensive garage customisation, and new social features, including collaborative Horizon CoLab events and Car Meets.
Another major release will be LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. The game will tell the story of Batman from the beginnings of Bruce Wayne’s activities to the creation of the entire family of Gotham heroes. The production will allow players to face many iconic adversaries, including the Joker, the Penguin, Mr. Freeze, and Bane.
Riven and R-Type return in new versions
On 19 May, players will also receive the refreshed Riven, a remake of the classic adventure game by Cyan Worlds. The game has been rebuilt into a full 3D environment and has received new narrative elements. R-Type Dimensions III also makes a comeback with new graphics and refreshed gameplay inspired by arcade classics.
In the upcoming week, there will also be, among others: Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks, Coffee Talk Tokyo, Bubsy 4D, and Luna Abyss. Microsoft has prepared a very strong week for both fans of big AAA releases and smaller independent productions.
The upcoming week on Xbox looks exceptionally strong. The biggest release will be Forza Horizon 6, but players will also receive new LEGO Batman, Riven, and many other productions on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
