XBOX is preparing a strong end to May. New games, Game Pass, and the return of James Bond are on the way.

Calendar 5/25/2026

Microsoft has published another list of games coming to Xbox consoles and PC in the coming days. This time the list is exceptionally long and includes both major AAA releases and smaller independent titles. The biggest attention-grabber is the new James Bond game, 007 First Light, from the creators of Hitman. Additionally, new RPGs, horror games, cooperative games, and a few more unusual indie projects will be available on Game Pass. Xbox is clearly trying to maintain a very strong pace of releases ahead of the summer industry showcases. For Game Pass subscribers, the end of May could be one of the most interesting parts of the entire month.

James Bond and Game Pass are set to be the biggest stars of late May on Xbox

The biggest release in the coming days will undoubtedly be 007 First Light from IO Interactive. The game will tell a new story of young James Bond and showcase the beginnings of his career in MI6. The production is set to combine stealth, action, chases, and a more cinematic gameplay style known from the Hitman series. Players will be able to complete missions in multiple ways and make use of various gadgets and vehicles. Echo Generation 2 is also heavily promoted, which will land in Game Pass on its release day. The game combines science fiction with RPG elements and a card deck-building system. The subscription will also feature Kabuto Park, a more tranquil production about catching and training insects during the holidays. Microsoft is clearly focusing this time on a very diverse lineup of releases to reach different groups of gamers.

Horrors, co-op and a mass of indie games flood the end of May on Xbox

In the coming days, a huge number of smaller indie productions and horrors will also appear. Among them is Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5, which continues the popular horror series featuring Huggy Wuggy. There is also a lot of interest in Mina the Hollower from the creators of Shovel Knight. Co-op fans will get Crashout Crew, a chaotic game about working in a warehouse full of forklifts and disasters. There will also be calmer productions like Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar and Cottonville. Microsoft is increasingly demonstrating that it wants to develop the Xbox library not only with big blockbusters but also with a vast number of smaller projects available almost every week.

The end of May on Xbox promises to be exceptionally intense thanks to the release of 007 First Light, new games in Game Pass and a large number of indie productions and horrors. Microsoft is clearly maintaining a very strong release pace ahead of the summer industry showcases.
