Xbox Game Pass is once again expanding its library with more high-profile titles. Microsoft has announced both brand-new games debuting on day one and refreshed classics as well as indie titles. In the coming weeks subscribers will gain access to a dozen or so new entries available on consoles, PCs and in the cloud. One of the biggest attractions will be the return of the iconic Halo campaign in a new incarnation. There will also be dark role-playing games, horror and strategy titles. At the same time it is worth remembering that some current titles will soon be removed from the service.
Halo and more Day One releases will join Game Pass
On 21 July The Planet Crafter joined the library, offering a relaxed experience focused on terraforming an alien world. A day later the co-operative detective horror Shift at Midnight will debut, and it will be available on Game Pass from day one. Another release will be Hell is Us, which emphasises exploration and demanding melee combat in a world engulfed by civil war. The biggest draw at the end of the month, however, will be Halo: Campaign Evolved, a refreshed version of the Halo: Combat Evolved campaign with updated visuals, improved controls, additional missions and a four-player co-op mode. After that Mistfall Hunter, a dark action RPG with extraction elements, and Corsair Cove, a strategy game that lets you build your own pirate town, will arrive on the service. At the start of August there will also be remastered versions of Heretic and Hexen, as well as the brand-new Beast of Reincarnation from Game Freak. All of these titles will significantly expand the Xbox Game Pass catalogue in the coming weeks.
Microsoft also issues a reminder about games leaving the service
Alongside the new releases, Microsoft also published a list of titles that will leave Game Pass on 31 July. Among the titles exiting the library are Celeste, Crusader Kings III, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, Rain World, Sniper Elite Resistance and Back to the Dawn. Players wanting to finish these games should do so before the end of the month or take advantage of the subscriber discount on purchasing them. Additionally, Game Pass users will receive new in-game rewards in Zenless Zone Zero to mark the game's second anniversary. Microsoft continues its strategy of regularly adding day-one releases to the subscription. This keeps the service one of the most generous offerings for players on Xbox consoles and PC. The coming weeks will bring both big-name titles and smaller releases across various genres. Every subscriber should find something for themselves in this update.
The latest Xbox Game Pass update brings many intriguing new releases, led by Halo: Campaign Evolved and Beast of Reincarnation. Microsoft is also expanding the library with further games available on day one and reminding subscribers of titles that will soon leave the service. The coming weeks look particularly appealing for all Game Pass subscribers.
