Warhorse Studios has officially confirmed that it is developing another game set in the Kingdom Come universe. The information was revealed during a presentation of the studio's plans for the coming years and quickly sparked immense interest among fans of the series. However, the creators disclosed very few details regarding the project itself. It is still unknown if the game will be called Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3. The studio has only confirmed that it will be a fully-fledged open RPG similar to the previous installments. Additionally, Warhorse is concurrently working on a new RPG set in the world of Middle-earth, which is the largest project in the studio's history.
The new Kingdom Come remains a significant mystery
Warhorse Studios has confirmed that the new game in the Kingdom Come series will continue to be an open-world RPG focused on story and the realistic atmosphere of the Middle Ages. Community Director Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, however, explained that the studio is deliberately avoiding the name Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3 for now. This immediately sparked speculation that the production could be a spin-off or a story centred on a completely new hero. The creators do not want to reveal more details just yet. It is only known that the release is targeted for between April 2027 and March 2028. This means that players will probably have to wait a few more years for the official presentation of the project.

The biggest surprise, however, was that the studio is currently working on two massive RPGs at the same time. In addition to the new Kingdom Come, an open-world RPG set in the realm of Middle-earth is also being developed. For Warhorse, this is the first time the studio is developing two such large projects simultaneously. The creators emphasise, however, that the Kingdom Come universe still remains their pride and joy. The series is also set to be expanded beyond games, including through comics, music, and other side projects. Nearly 300 people are already involved in the work on the new installment. Many fans, however, are wondering whether the quick pace of work means a smaller scale for the new game, or if the project was in development even before the release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
Warhorse officially returns to the world of Kingdom Come, but still hides the most important details about the new game. The studio is simultaneously developing a huge project in the world of The Lord of the Rings, which shows how much the company has grown after the success of the series.
