Vidda C3 Ultra – a laser monster from Hisense at the price of a soundbar!

4K projector with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ for just 7,000 PLN? The Hisense Vidda C3 Ultra with WiFi 7, Google TV, and powerful JBL sound is a 2025 must-have.

Hisense is back with another novelty – a home projector that looks like equipment costing 10,000 and is priced like a good audio set. Vidda C3 Ultra is a new model from the Tri-Chroma series that has just appeared in China. If it follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, the global premiere is just a matter of time. Let's hope it happens as soon as possible.

Brightness? Almost like the sun (or a very powerful flashlight)

On C3 Ultra paper, it spits out 3,200 CVIA lumens – this is a Chinese standard that differs somewhat from ANSI or ISO. In conversion, this amounts to about 2,600 ANSI lumens, which is more than enough for watching during the day, without drawing the curtains. And all this thanks to the MCL39 laser, which combines two red lasers with one blue and green, enhancing colour quality and light efficiency.

Image? 150 inches from three metres, 4K without loss of quality

The projector is based on DLP technology with a 0.47” DMD chip, has 1.67x optical zoom, and can comfortably display 150 inches from just under 3.1 m. Or 100 inches from 2 m. Without fiddling with sharpness – autofocus, auto-keystone, fit-to-screen and dynamic colour adjustment are all included.

In addition, it offers full coverage of 110% BT.2020, colour accuracy (Delta E) that surpasses most LEDs, LCDs and even OLEDs, as well as support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced.

System and interior – AI, JBL and power reserve

Under the hood is the MediaTek MT9681, 8 GB RAM and as much as 128 GB of storage – enough to not worry about apps or updates. It most likely runs on VIDAA OS, but if it goes global, it might be with Google TV.

There is also AI from DeepSeek – a voice assistant that searches for content, answers questions, and assists with operations. And how about the sound? Two 10 W JBL speakers + 200 W subwoofer with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X do their job.

Connectivity? Everything You Need

The Vidda C3 Ultra is a projector that – for its price range – offers truly impressive connectivity options. On board, we find Wi-Fi 7, the latest standard providing faster and more stable internet connections, even under heavy network loads. Additionally, there is Bluetooth 5.4, which guarantees energy-efficient and reliable connections with wireless headphones, speakers, or controllers.

Regarding wired connections, there is also nothing to complain about. The projector is equipped with a HDMI 2.1 port with eARC, which means full support for spatial audio in the highest quality – without the need for an additional audio cable. For those who prefer a wired internet connection, there is a 1 Gb/s Ethernet port, and as a bonus, two USB type A sockets that allow the connection of external data storage devices or accessories.

And now the most important part: the price

In China, the Vidda C3 Ultra is priced at 11,999 yuan, which translates to around 7,000 zlotys. For a projector with a laser light source, 4K resolution, support for Dolby Vision, and powerful JBL sound – this is truly an attractive offer. If Hisense decides to release this model globally, it could significantly shake up the home projector segment.
