AOC has unveiled the new Agon Ultra AGP277UZD gaming monitor in China. The unit features a 26.5-inch Tandem WOLED panel with 4K resolution and a 240 Hz refresh rate. Thanks to a special Dual-Hz mode, however, the refresh rate can be increased to as much as 480 Hz.
Tandem WOLED, 4K and even 480 Hz
The new monitor uses an RGB Tandem WOLED panel with an RGB Stripe subpixel layout. It offers a native resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels at 240 Hz, but players can switch it to Full HD (1920 × 1080) to achieve a 480 Hz refresh rate. This setup lets players choose between detailed imagery in AAA games and maximum smoothness in e-sports titles.
The manufacturer claims a response time of 0.03 ms (GtG), 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space and 10-bit colour depth. The monitor has also received DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and reaches a peak brightness of 1000 nits in HDR, but only on a small area of the screen. When displaying an image across the entire panel the specified brightness is 250 nits.
THX Spatial Audio+ i bogaty zestaw złączy
AOC equipped the monitor with two 5 W speakers that support THX Spatial Audio+ with virtual 7.1.4 spatial audio. The feature requires the appropriate version of the G-Menu software.
Also on board are DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 (80 Gb/s), two HDMI 2.1 ports and a USB-C port capable of charging devices with up to 98 W. It also includes a KVM switch, G-Sync Compatible support and a user presence sensor that helps reduce the risk of OLED burn-in.
When will it be released in Poland?
The AOC AGP277UZD has already appeared on the manufacturer's Chinese website, but its price and sales start date have not yet been disclosed. It is also unclear whether the monitor will be released on the European market.
