Who records the decisions made at a meeting? BenQ wants to hand that task to the display. The CP05 series combines a 4K touch display with a video conferencing camera and a feature called SummarAI, which is designed to automatically prepare meeting notes. There are 55- and 75-inch versions to choose from, with enough space for both a presentation and for collaboratively sketching out ideas.
Inside is equipment that many a tablet would be proud of: an eight-core ARM processor, 16 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage and Android 15. The screen supports up to 50 touch points, so several people can work at the board at the same time. BenQ also claims 95% DCI-P3 coverage, and the colours are Pantone-validated. For video calls, a 50 MP camera with intelligent framing will come in handy. The active pen not only lets you write on the screen but also switch slides and launch selected tools.
These practical features will be appreciated by anyone who has ever started a meeting by hunting for the right cable. The CP05 supports wireless screen sharing via AirPlay, Google Cast and Miracast, and you can log in to your account using NFC or a QR code. A presentation, a conversation with remote participants and shared notes can therefore be managed from a single place.
Most intriguing is SummarAI, a feature that automatically prepares meeting notes. Instead of taking part in the discussion and jotting down decisions at the same time, users will be able to leave the latter task to BenQ’s tool. SummarAI can be activated with a button on the active pen, so it is also available while working at the interactive whiteboard. It is a feature that may prove more useful than anything else on this type of device.
