TCG Card Shop Simulator has allowed players to run their own collectible card shop from the start. The game has already attracted over 3.5 million players on Xbox and PC. Now the developers are preparing update 1.0, which will introduce the long-awaited option to play duels with Tetramon cards. The system, called Tetramon Duel Master, is set to significantly expand the game's possibilities. The update is scheduled to launch on 15 September 2026.
Tetramon Duel Master will introduce real card duels
The biggest addition in update 1.0 will be Tetramon Duel Master, a full-fledged card game that uses cards players can collect in TCG Card Shop Simulator. Each duel begins with preparing a deck of 50 cards. At the same time, there is a restriction of up to four copies of the same named card. Before the fight starts, a player draws five cards to their hand and may once choose to exchange their entire starting hand. After this process, the next four cards are placed face-down in the Guardian Area. They will play an important role during the duel, as they can later be claimed through a special return-to-play mechanic. Each participant starts the match with 500 Tamer Points. The main objective is to gradually reduce the opponent's points to zero. The board is divided into several areas, the most important of which are the four Elemental Areas corresponding to the elements Fire, Earth, Water and Wind. It is in these areas that players place their Tetramons and prepare them for battle. The deck, the discard pile and the aforementioned Guardian Area are also important. Thanks to this division, each part of the board has a specific function, and proper card management will be one of the key elements of gameplay.
Proper placement of cards can decide the victory
When a player starts their turn they draw a card and then proceed to the Main Phase, during which they may play additional Tetramons. Each Tetramon has its own Play Effect, which triggers immediately when the card is played. An example is Burpig, a rare Fire-type Tetramon that can evolve from Pigni. When played, its effect increases its own Elemental Power by 15 points for that turn. A very important element of the system will also be Tetramon evolution. Evolution cards can be placed directly onto the corresponding Tetramon, allowing the creature to become progressively stronger. A basic Tetramon, however, needs one turn before it can be evolved. Further evolutions can then be performed in the same turn, provided the player has the necessary cards. Each Elemental Area, however, allows only one new basic Tetramon to be played there per turn. When it is played the previous card occupying that spot is removed. After the card-playing phase the Attack Phase begins, except on the first turn of the whole match. Tetramon positioning is hugely important, because their Attack Power depends not only on their own Elemental Power but also on the power associated with the specific Elemental Area. Hits reduce the opponent’s Tamer Points, and crossing the thresholds of 400, 300, 200 and 100 points triggers a mechanism that allows additional cards to be drawn from the Guardian Area. This gives the losing player extra opportunities to turn the match around. Ultimately the winner is the player who first reduces their opponent’s points to zero.
TCG Card Shop Simulator is preparing for the release of a major 1.0 update. Its key component will be Tetramon Duel Master, a playable card game based on cards available in the game's world. Players will build 50-card decks, develop Tetramons and compete for 500 Tamer Points. Evolutions, card effects and the proper placement of creatures on the board will be important. The 1.0 update will debut on 15 September 2026 on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
