Spotify has just arrived on millions of TVs. The app is already available on most models using the Whale TV system. Users can sign in and stream music and podcasts on the big screen.
Whale TV announced on 22 September that it has made the Spotify app available on most televisions running its system. The app can be found in the app store; simply log in to your account and you're done. It's quite a useful solution, as the streaming service supports playback of video podcasts and music videos.
The system runs on more than 47 million active televisions each month. Whale TV partners with around 400 brands worldwide, including Philips, JVC and Blaupunkt. In Poland the system is mainly available on entry-level televisions found in popular hypermarkets.
The company did not provide a list of TVs compatible with the update. If your TV runs Whale TV, it's worth checking whether Spotify is available in your app store.
