Calendar 5/19/2025

If you're looking for a TV that combines stunning picture quality with high-end gaming features, it’s worth checking out Samsung’s full lineup. Our ranking of the best Samsung TVs highlights models with HDMI 2.1, G-Sync or FreeSync support, low input lag, and features tailored for both console and PC gaming.

Samsung has officially announced that its OLED televisions for 2025 – led by the flagship model OLED S95Fhave obtained NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible certification. This is the first time that an OLED television of this brand has been officially tested and approved by NVIDIA. However, G-Sync has already been functioning on Samsung televisions, it just wasn’t officially certified. Thanks to the official testing, we will gain full system support for gamers, which has so far been mainly associated with gaming monitors or competitors' OLEDs.

What does NVIDIA G-Sync provide in a television?

NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible is a technology that synchronises the screen's refresh rate with the number of frames generated by the graphics card. From a gamer's perspective, this means no tearing, smoother animations, lower input lag, and more responsive gameplay. This is especially important in games with dynamic action and significant FPS variability.

Is Samsung increasingly catering to gamers? It seems so!

According to Samsung Newsroom, the certification process was conducted in collaboration with NVIDIA, and the tests took place on multiple Samsung OLED models. The first television to receive full support is the Samsung OLED S95F, which is the flagship television from this year's line-up.

Thanks to G-Sync, users of GeForce RTX graphics cards will be able to fully enjoy the potential of these screens – both for gaming in 4K at 120 Hz and at lower, variable refresh rates.

Samsung has previously offered AMD FreeSync Premium Pro in many of its televisions, but full compatibility with G-Sync is a new level of support for PC users. In practice, this means greater versatility – regardless of whether someone is using a console, an NVIDIA card, or an AMD one, Samsung's OLEDs will be ready for anything.

It is also worth noting that the Samsung OLED S95F is equipped with other features aimed at gamers, such as Game Bar 4.0 and AI Auto Game Mode. All of this makes this television genuinely capable of replacing a monitor for gaming enthusiasts.

What does this mean for Samsung's new OLED line?

Currently, only the S95F has an official G-Sync certification, but Samsung has announced that this technology will gradually be implemented in subsequent OLEDs from the 2025 line. Therefore, we can expect further expansion of the portfolio – particularly in the series geared towards gamers and enthusiasts of premium image quality.

With NVIDIA G-Sync certification, Samsung is not only catching up with the competition but could also take centre stage. The S95F has the potential to become the first choice OLED not only for cinephiles but also for passionate PC gamers who seek the best possible experience.
