LG Display has published its financial results for the third quarter of 2026. The Korean panel manufacturer reported revenue of 6.28 trillion won and an operating profit of 250.6 billion won. After a loss in the previous quarter, the company returned to profit and intends to base further development primarily on OLED technology.

LG Display returns to profit

Revenues at LG Display rose by 12% compared with the second quarter, mainly thanks to larger shipments of large-format OLED panels and displays for mobile devices. Operating profit was 250.6 billion won, while in the previous quarter the company posted a loss of 107.7 billion won.

Not all the figures are positive, however. Compared with the third quarter of 2025, revenues fell by 10% and operating profit decreased from 431 billion won. Meanwhile net profit rose to 755.6 billion won, partly thanks to a favourable result on financial operations related to exchange rates.

Cheaper OLED TVs and more gaming monitors

LG Display announces further strengthening of its OLED offering. In the TV segment the company wants to develop both premium panels and solutions offered at more competitive prices. The manufacturer also plans to expand the Gaming OLED series designed for monitors. At the same time it is working on technologies intended to reduce display manufacturing costs. One of them is FLiPP, a new method for precise forming of OLED structures.

For buyers this means the prospect of a wider choice of OLED TVs and monitors in the coming years. LG Display has not, however, given specific launch dates or indicated the scale of any potential price reductions.
