Samsung is preparing a colourful offensive. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 are expected to surprise not only with their specifications.

Calendar 6/24/2026

Samsung is preparing to launch the next generation of foldable smartphones, and new details about their appearance have just surfaced online. This time it's not about the camera, processor or body thickness, but about something that is just as important to many users: colours and memory configurations. According to the latest leak, the manufacturer plans an unusually wide range of variants for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra models. It is also clear that Samsung wants to more clearly differentiate the character of each device. The Flip is set to remain lighter and more youthful, while the Fold and its Ultra version will aim for a more elegant, premium appearance.

Galaxy Z Flip 8 to be bolder, Fold 8 more premium

A leak suggests the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will be released in Cream, Graphite, Mint and Pink. That lineup clearly shows Samsung still wants to position the Flip series as a more stylish, lifestyle-oriented model in its foldable family. In particular, the Mint and Pink shades are intended to emphasise the device’s more playful character and attract users who want something less conservative than classic black or beige. It’s a different story for the larger models. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected in Cream, Graphite, Lavender and Pistachio, so a palette that remains elegant but with a subtle touch of more unusual accents. Even more interesting is the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which is said to come in Cream, Graphite, Green Shadow and Violet Shadow variants. The names themselves suggest darker, more muted finishes intended to emphasise the exclusive character of the most expensive model. In practice, this could mean Samsung wants to more clearly separate the styling of the different series. The Flip is to be a more fashion-oriented, lightweight device, while the Fold and Fold Ultra are intended to be premium mobile tools. Cream and Graphite remain common to all models and will most likely be the standard options on offer. If the leak proves true, Samsung will once again show that in the foldable smartphone segment it wants to compete not only on specs but also on style. At a time when many smartphones look almost identical, such variety could make a real difference for customers, especially since we’re talking about top-tier devices where looks are often as important as technical capabilities. Samsung seems to understand this perfectly.

There will also be plenty of storage, and the model naming is starting to clear up

The leak reveals not only the colours but also the storage configurations, and Samsung does not intend to skimp here either. Galaxy Z Flip 8 will be available in 256 GB and 512 GB variants. Meanwhile Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra are expected to come in three variants: 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB of internal storage. This is important because recently some manufacturers have been cutting back on the number of configurations to reduce costs associated with memory and data storage. Samsung has apparently decided, however, that it cannot afford too many compromises when it comes to foldable flagships, especially as these devices are positioned as the most advanced smartphones in the brand's portfolio. A clearer split within the Fold line is also emerging. According to the leak, the larger and more advanced model will indeed come to market as Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, rather than under the Fold 8 Wide name that had been speculated earlier. This could mean that Samsung wants to align its foldables more closely with the pattern seen in the traditional Galaxy S and Galaxy Ultra series. There are also reports of a launch planned for the second half of July. Earlier leaks also suggested that Galaxy Z Flip 8 could get a more useful external display, though without a big jump in charging speed. Meanwhile Galaxy Z Fold 8 is said to offer a large, tablet-like internal display, but it may not receive an absolutely top-tier camera array. For now all of this information remains unofficial, but together it is starting to form an increasingly coherent picture of Samsung's foldable smartphone push this year.

The latest leak suggests that Samsung is preparing a very broad lineup for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The manufacturer is expected to offer both a wider choice of colours and higher-capacity storage options, and the foldable smartphone line itself will be further divided into lifestyle and premium models.
