NVIDIA launches GeForce NOW in India. Cloud gaming arrives in one of the world’s largest markets

Calendar 7/15/2026

NVIDIA has officially launched GeForce NOW in India. The launch is accompanied by a special Early Access offer and prices tailored to the local market. The company wants to capitalise on the growing popularity of high-speed internet and 5G networks to persuade new gamers to try cloud gaming without having to buy a high-performance PC.

GeForce NOW launches with a free and two paid plans

NVIDIA has prepared three versions of the GeForce NOW service for users in India. The basic plan remains completely free and allows access to over 2,000 games at 1080p and 60 frames per second. Free users, however, must contend with ads, a queue for servers and game sessions limited to a maximum of one hour. For those seeking higher quality, NVIDIA has introduced the Performance subscription, costing 999 rupees per month. This package removes ads, shortens wait times to under a minute and extends a single session to six hours. It also offers access to over 4,500 games and the ability to install selected titles. Gameplay is delivered at up to 1440p and 60 frames per second. NVIDIA expects the attractive price to encourage players to switch to the paid plan early in the service's rollout.

The most expensive subscription prioritises peak performance

The most advanced Ultimate plan is priced at 1,999 rupees per month. According to NVIDIA, it delivers performance comparable to a GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card, enabling gaming even at 5K resolution with refresh rates up to 360 FPS, provided the hardware and the game itself allow it. In this tier users can play continuously for eight hours, and waiting time to access the servers is said to be virtually zero. The company is particularly counting on interest from residents of smaller Indian cities, where fibre infrastructure and 5G networks are rapidly developing. That means more people can enjoy cloud gaming without having to invest in an expensive gaming PC. Entering the Indian market is one of the key stages of GeForce NOW's global expansion and a chance to attract millions of new users.

The launch of GeForce NOW in India shows that NVIDIA is increasingly focusing on the development of cloud gaming. With local pricing and several subscription tiers, the company aims to reach both casual gamers and the most demanding users. If the service proves successful, India could become one of the key markets for the GeForce NOW platform.
