Modern technologies are increasingly finding their way not only into watches and sportswear, but also into everyday footwear. The latest example of this approach are the Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide slides, developed together with Hyperice. The manufacturer has equipped them with a heating system and a vibrating foot massage. The product was created primarily with athletes in mind, but is also intended for everyday use. According to Nike, the slides can help with recovery after training, travelling or many hours spent on your feet. Sales will begin this autumn.

Air Zoom Hyperslide focuses on recovery rather than traditional comfort

The Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide is a slide designed primarily as a product to aid bodily recovery. Comfort comes from low-profile Air Zoom cushioning, while the recovery technology was developed by Hyperice. A special module is embedded in the slide's strap that warms the top of the foot and simultaneously generates gentle vibrations. According to the manufacturer, the solution is intended to help relax tight muscles and reduce the feeling of fatigue after exercise. This is the second product resulting from the collaboration between Nike and Hyperice, following last year's Hyperboot model. Both companies are increasingly investing in technologies that support athlete recovery. The new slides are intended to be useful both after an intense workout and after many hours of walking or travelling. Nike emphasises that the recovery process should begin immediately after physical activity ends. It is precisely with this in mind that the new Air Zoom Hyperslide model was developed. The manufacturer expects that such solutions will become part of many users' daily routines. Recovery is to be as important as training itself. This highlights the growing importance of wellness technologies in the world of sport.

Heating, massage and mobile app in one product

The Hyperice module used in the slides is magnetic and can be detached if necessary. The user has three heat settings and three vibration intensity levels. The maximum operating temperature is about 47 degrees Celsius. Each recovery session lasts 15 minutes. All functions can be controlled directly from the module or via the Hyperice app. According to Nike representatives, the aim of the project was to create a product that begins the recovery process from the moment it is activated. Footballer Virgil van Dijk, who has partnered with Nike, emphasises that the combination of Air Zoom cushioning with Hyperice technology positively affects the comfort of his feet. Sales of the Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide will begin on 29 September. The product will be available on Nike's website, in the Hyperice store and through selected retail partners worldwide. The manufacturer has not yet revealed an official price for the new model. If the solution proves popular with customers, similar technologies may be incorporated into other shoe models in the future.
