Netflix has unveiled the official trailers for three new productions that will soon join the platform's library. Among the upcoming releases are a dark thriller with a star-studded cast, a moving documentary based on true events and a Spanish miniseries full of mystery. Each title is aimed at a different audience, which means the platform's catalogue will become even more varied. The premieres are scheduled for August 2026. Netflix hopes the new productions will attract both fans of crime dramas and viewers seeking emotional stories. Here is what to expect from the platform's latest announcements.

The Whisper Man and A Child of My Own rely on strong emotions

The most talked-about of the announced premieres is The Whisper Man, a psychological thriller based on Alex North's bestselling novel. The film tells the story of a father whose son is abducted, prompting the reopening of the case into a serial child killer known as 'Whisper Man'. The cast includes Robert De Niro, Adam Scott and Michelle Monaghan. The film is scheduled for release on 28 August 2026. The other new title is the documentary A Child of My Own, directed by Maite Alberdi. The film depicts the true story of Alejandra, a woman who, after multiple miscarriages, decides to fake a pregnancy to meet her family's expectations. Over time her lie leads to one of the most high-profile scandals in Mexico. The documentary is due to debut on Netflix on 13 August 2026. Both productions tackle difficult subjects, though each does so in a very different way.

Spanish miniseries will reveal the secrets of a group of friends

The third new title announced by Netflix is All the Truth in My Lies, a five-episode Spanish miniseries based on the novel by Elísabet Benavent. The plot centres on a group of friends who set off in a camper van for the hen night of one of the characters. What begins as an innocent trip soon turns into a tense journey during which long-hidden secrets and lies come to light. Relationships between the characters become more complicated and the atmosphere grows increasingly tense. The series focuses primarily on drama and psychological conflicts between the characters. The premiere is scheduled for 28 August 2026. The release of the trailer suggests that Netflix continues to invest heavily in European original productions. By offering a variety of genres, the platform aims to reach a wide audience. All three announced titles will be available exclusively on Netflix.

Netflix has revealed trailers for three new productions that will join the platform's library later this August. Viewers can expect a dark thriller, a fact-based documentary and a mysterious Spanish miniseries. The variety of genres shows that the service still prioritises a broad offering aimed at diverse audiences.
