The Hisense XR10 is a projector that stands out not only for its image quality but also for its unconventional design. A triple RGB laser and a claimed brightness of 6000 ANSI lumens are just the beginning. We've prepared five interesting facts about the device, which we have already had the chance to test thoroughly on ChooseTV.

1. A case worthy of a luxury brand

Even the XR10's packaging impresses. Instead of a plain cardboard box we get an elegant transport case that resembles the bags of luxury brands like Louis Vuitton. Its colour scheme even echoes Louis Vuitton. It has leather trim, metal fittings, wheels and a comfortable handle. It is not just for show; it allows us to store and transport the projector safely and conveniently. So we get a blend of aesthetics and functionality.

2. Projector inspired by photographic cameras

Hisense has opted for a retro aesthetic. A large, round lens, a brown metal casing and distinctive dials make the XR10 look more like a classic camera than a projector. Among the inspirations were iconic medium-format cameras.

3. Liquid cooling

This is perhaps the most interesting feature of the XR10. Rather than relying solely on traditional air cooling, the projector uses a closed-loop liquid cooling system. The solution more effectively dissipates heat generated by the powerful RGB lasers and reduces noise. During our testing the projector operated quietly in standard modes, even at high brightness.

4. Can be mounted on a tripod like a vintage camera

A special tripod made of walnut and aluminium has also been created for the XR10. Once mounted, the projector resembles old film cameras placed on tall tripods. The whole ensemble looks very elegant and can serve as a feature of the living room décor. The tripod is an optional accessory sold separately.

5. Sound developed with the luxury brand Devialet

The XR10's sound is provided by an audio system tuned in collaboration with the French firm Devialet, known for producing very expensive, high-end speakers. The projector houses two 8 W speakers and a 15 W subwoofer. During our tests the setup pleasantly surprised us with its bass and volume, allowing comfortable film viewing without the need for external speakers.

And how does the Hisense XR10 fare in practice?

Unusual looks and interesting design solutions are one thing, but picture quality remains the most important. On ChooseTV we thoroughly tested brightness, contrast, colours, gaming features and the projector’s capabilities for a home cinema.
