Hisense RoamView is an unusual concept for an additional screen at home. The 32S6S combines a 32-inch 4K touchscreen panel, Android and a wheeled stand. You can move it from the living room to the kitchen or bedroom, and the built-in battery lets you use the device without being constantly plugged into a socket.
RoamView specification
The manufacturer claims up to 10 hours of battery life. The base allows the screen position to be adjusted, and the display itself can be detached and used on a tabletop stand. The RoamView is intended for watching films, video calls, workouts or displaying recipes while cooking. The detachable design is more interesting here than the wheels themselves: the screen can be placed on the worktop if there isn’t room beside it for the full base.
Bear in mind, however, that this is not a conventional TV with a tuner. According to the manufacturer's specifications, the panel operates at 60 Hz, and the whole unit with its stand weighs around 25 kg.
Android also in Europe. What about the Polish version?
The issue of the operating system looks interesting. Hisense’s American materials point to Android, but more importantly the manufacturer’s UK website also lists the same system. This is rather interesting because it departs from the VIDAA platform with which we associate this brand’s TVs in Poland and many other European countries. It provides grounds to suppose that a potential Polish version of RoamView would also run Android.
The price in the US is around US$2,000. That's a big outlay for a 32-inch screen. RoamView therefore makes most sense where its portability will be put to regular use.
