Gateron has officially presented the new Gateron Magnetic Jade Silent switches designed for Hall Effect keyboards and TMR. This time, the manufacturer focuses on combining magnetic technology with the exceptionally quiet operation of the switches.
Magnetic switches are becoming increasingly popular
The Hall Effect keyboard market is developing rapidly, and manufacturers are increasingly experimenting with new types of magnetic switches. The new Magnetic Jade Silent switches are based on the linear design known from the Jade series but have been equipped with special silicone dampening elements for both the bottom and the top of the key's travel. This means that the switches are expected to offer significantly quieter operation than classic gaming models.
The manufacturer emphasizes that the new switches are intended to be effective not only for gaming but also for office work or in places where keyboard noise may disturb other users. The switches offer an activation force of 33 gf and 45 gf at full keystroke, with a total travel distance of 3.2 mm. The design has also been optimized to reduce key wobble.
Compatibility with popular HE keyboards
Gateron Magnetic Jade Silent uses n-pole magnetic switch construction, allowing them to work with many popular magnetic keyboards that support Gateron, TTC, or Gravastar switches. The manufacturer has also included a detachable LED diffuser for RGB lighting and transparent keycaps.
In recent months, the market for magnetic keyboards has accelerated significantly. More and more manufacturers are developing their own Hall Effect and TMR switches, which offer very fast response times and the ability to adjust the activation point. However, new Gateron models show that manufacturers are starting to focus not only on speed but also on work culture and user comfort.
Gateron has presented the Magnetic Jade Silent, which are new silent magnetic switches for Hall Effect and TMR gaming keyboards. The manufacturer aims to combine high responsiveness with a much quieter operation during gaming and everyday use.
