Calendar 5/21/2026

Fight Club has officially premiered in 4K quality after several months of delays. The cult film directed by David Fincher has been restored and is now available for digital distribution with Dolby Vision HDR support.

David Fincher is finishing off the refresh of his classics

Fight Club was originally meant to receive a 4K version last year to mark the film's 25th anniversary. However, the process of restoring and scanning the 35mm tapes apparently took longer than anticipated. The new version offers 4K visuals with Dolby Vision HDR and 5.1 Dolby Surround sound. Currently, the film has mainly appeared on the Apple TV app, but it is set to arrive on other VOD platforms soon.

The film will also receive a physical UHD Blu-ray release. The disc version will offer 4K HDR10 visuals and DTS-HD MA 5.1 sound. This is another classic by Fincher that has been refreshed recently. Previously, the director also oversaw the restoration of productions such as Se7en, Zodiac, and Panic Room. However, new 4K releases for Alien 3 and The Game are still missing.

Fight Club remains one of the most important cult films

Fight Club has long been regarded as one of the most significant films of the late 90s. The production featuring Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter has achieved cult status and continues to rank very highly on IMDb.

Fight Club has officially been released in 4K quality with Dolby Vision HDR. David Fincher's film returns in a refreshed version both digitally and on UHD Blu-ray.
