ChatGPT + Apple Health? A new leak reveals hidden integration of health data inside the ChatGPT app for iPhone. See which Apple Health categories the AI may analyze — and when the feature could reach users.

In the latest version of the ChatGPT app for iPhone, something has been hidden that could significantly change the way we use AI on a daily basis. An Apple Health icon has appeared in the code — and everything suggests that the developers are preparing direct integration with Health in iOS. These are not rumours from forums, but a real element found in the app. It was discovered by Aaron Perris, and the information was described by MacRumors.

What is it about?

In the files of the ChatGPT application, there was graphics featuring the distinctive Apple Health icon. The name of the file itself suggests that it will soon be possible to connect ChatGPT with the user's health data. And that means one thing: AI will begin to respond not only in a "general" manner but also based on data about your sleep, activity, breathing, or diet. So we are talking about the first real step towards a fully-fledged health AI assistant.

What data would ChatGPT need to see?

The leak shows several categories:

  • activity and workouts,

  • sleep and its quality,

  • diet and eating habits,

  • breathing,

  • hearing health.

These are precisely the areas that the Apple Watch monitors every day and that iPhone users most frequently utilise. Combining this data with a large language model could provide responses tailored to your body, rather than just general fitness recommendations.

Why is it important?

In ChatGPT, you can already connect several “apps and connectors,” such as Peloton. However, the list of health services is very limited. Apple Health would be the first major step towards a complete AI-based wellness ecosystem. January is also approaching — the time for New Year’s resolutions. As millions of people start to think intensively about their health, such an integration would be a home run for OpenAI.

Is the feature certain?

No. The presence of graphics in the code only indicates that preparations or testing are underway. However, history shows that such elements usually precede launches by a few weeks. Therefore, it is possible that Apple Health will appear in ChatGPT even before the New Year.

What will the user gain?

  • more personalised analyses of workouts and sleep,

  • suggestions tailored to actual results,

  • simpler monitoring of habits through regular conversation,

  • the ability to create health reports and goals based on data, not guesswork.

In short: ChatGPT could become not only an AI assistant but also a personal trainer, nutritionist, and health analyst all in one. If the integration indeed makes it to the app, it will be one of the biggest innovations in the history of the ChatGPT app on iOS — and simultaneously the first serious attempt to combine health data with artificial intelligence.
