Apple and Major League Baseball have officially unveiled the August broadcast schedule for Friday Night Baseball. As part of the Apple TV service, fans will once again have access to two MLB games aired every Friday. The offering includes matches with professional commentary and no regional restrictions. The schedule features the season's biggest match-ups and clashes between the league's leading teams. Friday Night Baseball remains one of the most important elements of Apple TV's sports offering.
Major MLB rivalries return to Apple TV
August's schedule is full of match-ups between the league's most recognisable teams. One of the main events will be the St. Louis Cardinals facing the Chicago Cubs on 14 August. Fans will see, among others, Jordan Walker and Alex Bregman. Two weeks later there will be another chapter in the legendary rivalry between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. The schedule also includes rematches from last season's play-offs. The Toronto Blue Jays will meet the New York Yankees again after the thrilling 2025 Division Series. Another intriguing contest will see the Blue Jays take on the Seattle Mariners, echoing last year's Championship Series. In August the leaders of the American League West, the Seattle Mariners, will appear twice. The same number of games will be played by the leaders of the American League East, the Tampa Bay Rays. Apple is focusing on games featuring the strongest teams of the current season. As a result, fans can expect exciting Friday evenings throughout the month. All games will be broadcast in high-quality picture with expert commentary.
Apple continues its sports partnership with MLB
Friday Night Baseball will be broadcast on Apple TV for the fifth consecutive season. Commentary is provided by well-known journalists and former MLB players, and commentary teams will rotate depending on the game. Before each match viewers will also see a special studio with expert analysis. The broadcasts are produced by the award-winning MLB Network team in partnership with Apple. In the United States and Canada viewers will also be able to choose local commentary for both teams. The broadcasts can be watched on Apple devices, Smart TVs, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Roku devices, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast with Google TV and via a web browser. Apple TV also remains available with a seven-day free trial for new users. People who buy new Apple devices may also receive three months' access to the service at no extra cost. The company is steadily expanding its sports offering, investing in broadcasts of the world's biggest leagues. Friday Night Baseball remains one of the pillars of this strategy.
