Apple can boast a historic success in this year's Primetime Emmy nominations. Titles on Apple TV+ received a total of 89 nominations, the platform's best result to date. Comedy and drama series in particular stood out, dominating the top categories. No fewer than 15 of Apple's original productions were among the nominees. This is further evidence of Apple TV+'s growing standing in the streaming market.
Wdowia zatoka and Jedyna are the biggest stars of this year's nominations
The comedy Wdowia zatoka received the most nominations, picking up as many as 19 nods. The production will compete, among other things, for the statuette for best comedy series, and acting nominations went to Matthew Rhys, Kate O'Flynn, Dale Dickey, Stephen Root, Hamish Linklater and Betty Gilpin. Hot on its heels was the drama Jedyna with 18 nominations, including for best drama series and for Vince Gilligan's writing and directing. Rhea Seehorn, Karolina Wydra and Carlos-Manuel Veska were also recognised for their acting. Terapia bez trzymanki also posted a very strong result, earning 10 nominations. Kulawe konie received nine nominations, while Margo jest spłukana got eight. Apple also scored nominations for productions such as Foundation, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, The Morning Show, The Murderbot Diaries, Palm Royale and Dym. In the documentary categories, among others, Mr Scorsese and Eugene Levy: The Reluctant Traveler were recognised. In total, nominations covered 15 different productions available on Apple TV+. That's one of the best results among all streaming platforms this year.
Apple TV+ strengthens its position among the biggest streaming platforms
Apple has achieved a record number of Emmy nominations for the second year running. The platform received the most nominations in the two main categories – best drama series and best comedy series. Since its debut, Apple TV+ productions have amassed more than 850 awards and over 3,700 nominations. The platform’s portfolio includes hits such as Ted Lasso, Rozdzielenie, CODA and the latest box-office success F1. This year’s nominations show that Apple consistently invests in high-budget, well-received productions. The winners of the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards will be announced on 14 September 2026. For Apple, it will be another opportunity to strengthen its position in the world of premium films and series. The platform proves it can effectively compete with the biggest streaming platforms in the world.
