Apple Arcade is preparing another batch of new releases for fans of puzzle games and relaxed gameplay. On 3 September Block Blast!+ and Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+ will join the service, two titles aimed at completely different types of players. The first focuses on a simple but highly absorbing block-arranging mechanic. The second offers a much more tranquil experience, combining puzzles with stories about wildlife and environmental conservation. Both games will be available on Apple Arcade with no ads and no in-app purchases.
Block Blast!+ will hit Apple Arcade ad-free
One of the most important new releases this September will be Block Blast!+, developed by Hungry Studio. The title uses a very simple mechanic, allowing you to jump in with virtually no preparation. The player's task is to place coloured blocks on the board so as to create full rows and columns. Removing them scores points and clears space for the next pieces. The mechanic is easy to grasp, but as you make more moves it demands increasingly better planning. It is precisely the combination of simple rules and high replayability that has made Block Blast! hugely popular worldwide. The Apple Arcade version will offer the same gameplay, but ad-free, meaning players can focus solely on creating successive combinations. The game is well suited both for a short break and for a longer session on an iPhone or iPad. Block Blast!+ will thus join other popular puzzle games on Apple Arcade such as Grindstone, Flow Free+ and Crossword Jam+.
Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+ will focus on relaxation and nature
The second major new release will be Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+, created by Klemens Strasser. The title offers a much calmer approach to the puzzle genre and has been designed as a relaxing experience. Players will assemble nature-inspired images while learning stories about wildlife and conservation. The developers have emphasised the meditative nature of the gameplay and accessibility features. As a result, the puzzles are intended to be welcoming to a broad audience, regardless of experience level. Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+ previously received the App Store Award 2025 in the ‘Cultural Impact’ category, which further underlines the title’s distinctive character. The game aims to combine the pleasure of solving puzzles with an educational portrayal of the natural world. Apple Arcade will therefore add to its catalogue a title that could be an appealing alternative to more demanding puzzle games. In August users will also receive updates for other releases, including puffies., Simon’s Cat: Blast Time and stitch.. This autumn looks particularly interesting for Apple Arcade, as in addition to new games the platform will also get further major updates.
