Samsung Display may raise OLED panel prices in 2027. According to leaks from sources in the Chinese industry, the manufacturer plans to increase prices by $10 to $20 per panel. The change could affect the prices of OLED TVs and monitors.
Samsung wants to raise OLED prices
According to IT Home and EET-China, Samsung Display has reportedly already notified its partners of planned price increases. The reason is the situation in the OLED market, where intense competition and low prices make it hard for manufacturers to maintain profitability.
It is not yet clear which specific panels are affected. Samsung produces displays for smartphones and laptops, as well as QD-OLED panels used in televisions and monitors.
Will we pay more for TVs?
If the increases also apply to QD-OLED panels, they could lead to higher prices for finished products. However, this would not necessarily mean an automatic $10 to $20 rise in TV prices.
So far Samsung Display has not officially confirmed this information, and the details of the planned changes remain unknown.
