Yamaha has announced the B200A, a compact soundbar for a TV or computer workstation. The unit is about 60 cm wide, supports Dolby Atmos and houses a subwoofer in a single enclosure. It's primarily aimed at smaller rooms.
Small soundbar with a full set of connections
To connect devices it offers HDMI eARC/ARC, an optical input and a 3.5 mm AUX. There's also Bluetooth for streaming music from your phone. The B200A can be placed under a screen or mounted on the wall. The manufacturer also provides app control. The built-in subwoofer means you don't need to find space for a separate box by the sofa or under the desk. That may be more important than the number of features for people who just want to tidy up their setup.
Four sound modes and the starting price
There are four sound modes to choose from: Movie, Standard, Stereo and Game. The Clear Voice feature is designed to improve dialogue clarity, and Bass Extension boosts the low end.

Sales in the US are set to start in November, with the price fixed at $249.95. The US announcement does not provide a price for Poland or a release date. On paper, the biggest advantage of the B200A appears to be the combination of compact dimensions and a generous set of ports.
