Microsoft has published another list of games coming to Xbox and PC in the coming days. This time the list is exceptionally long and includes both major AAA releases and smaller independent productions. The spotlight is on the new James Bond game, 007 First Light, from the creators of Hitman. In addition, new RPGs, horror games, cooperative games, and a few more unusual indie projects will be available in Game Pass. Xbox is clearly trying to maintain a very strong pace of releases before the start of the summer industry shows. For Game Pass subscribers, the end of May could be one of the more interesting parts of the entire month.
James Bond and Game Pass are set to be the biggest stars at the end of May on Xbox
The biggest release in the coming days will undoubtedly be 007 First Light from IO Interactive. The game will tell a new story of young James Bond and showcase the beginnings of his career in MI6. The production aims to blend stealth, action, chases, and a more cinematic gameplay style known from the Hitman series. Players will be able to complete missions in various ways and utilise different gadgets and vehicles. Also heavily promoted is Echo Generation 2, which will be available on Game Pass from launch day. The game combines science fiction with RPG elements and a card deck-building system. The subscription will also feature Kabuto Park, a more tranquil production about catching and training insects during holidays. Microsoft is clearly aiming for a very diverse set of releases this time to appeal to different groups of players.
Horrors, co-op, and a heap of indie games flood the end of May on Xbox
In the coming days, a massive number of smaller indie productions and horror games will also be released. Among them is Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5, which continues the popular horror series featuring Huggy Wuggy. There's also a lot of buzz around Mina the Hollower from the creators of Shovel Knight. Fans of co-op gaming will get Crashout Crew, a chaotic game set in a warehouse full of forklifts and disasters. There will also be more tranquil productions like Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar and Cottonville. Microsoft is increasingly showing that it wants to expand the Xbox library not only with big blockbusters but also with a huge number of smaller projects available practically every week.
The end of May on Xbox is shaping up to be exceptionally intense thanks to the release of 007 First Light, new games in Game Pass, and a large number of indie and horror productions. Microsoft is clearly maintaining a very strong pace of releases ahead of the summer industry showcases.
