Warhorse Studios has officially confirmed that it is developing another game set in the Kingdom Come universe. The information appeared during the studio's presentation of plans for the coming years and quickly sparked huge interest among fans of the series. However, the creators revealed very few details about the project itself. It is still unclear whether the game will be titled Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3. The studio has only confirmed that it will be a full-fledged open RPG similar to the previous installments. Additionally, Warhorse is concurrently working on a new RPG set in the world of Middle-earth, which is the largest project in the studio's history.
New Kingdom Come still remains a big mystery
Warhorse Studios has confirmed that the new game in the Kingdom Come series will remain an open-world RPG focused on story and the realistic atmosphere of the Middle Ages. Community Director Tobias Stolz-Zwilling explained, however, that the studio is deliberately avoiding the name Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3 for now. This immediately sparked speculation that the production could be a spin-off or a story focused on a completely new hero. The creators are not yet ready to reveal more details. It is only known that the release is targeted for between April 2027 and March 2028. This means that players will likely have to wait a few more years for an official presentation of the project.
Warhorse is also creating an RPG set in the Lord of the Rings universe
The biggest surprise, however, turned out to be that the studio is currently working on two massive RPGs simultaneously. In addition to the new Kingdom Come, an open-world RPG set in Middle-earth is also in the works. For Warhorse, this is the first time the studio has been developing two such large projects at the same time. The creators emphasise, however, that the Kingdom Come universe remains their pride and joy. The series is also set to expand beyond games, including through comics, music, and other side projects. Almost 300 people are already involved in the development of the new installment. Many fans, however, are wondering whether the fast pace of work means a smaller scale for the new game, or if the project was being developed even before the release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
Warhorse officially returns to the world of Kingdom Come, but still hides the most important details about the new game. The studio is simultaneously developing a massive project in the world of The Lord of the Rings, which shows how much the company has grown after the success of the series.
