PlayStation Plus focuses on cooperation after price hikes. Sony reveals games for June

Calendar 5/27/2026

Sony has officially revealed the lineup of games that will be available on PlayStation Plus in June 2026. This time, the company is focusing heavily on multiplayer productions and cooperative experiences for multiple players. The biggest release appears to be Grounded from Obsidian Entertainment, but the lineup also includes the brutal Warhammer 40,000: Darktide and the more party-oriented Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. However, the problem is that the new offerings come almost immediately after subscription price increases in some regions of the world. For many players, Sony now needs to particularly convince users of the value of PlayStation Plus. The June list clearly shows an attempt to focus on games that encourage shared online fun.

ChooseTV and Darktide are set to be the biggest hits of June on PlayStation Plus

Grounded is one of the strongest titles in the entire lineup. The game from Obsidian Entertainment shrinks players down to the size of insects and throws them into a massive garden full of dangerous creatures. The production heavily focuses on exploration, crafting, and cooperation among up to four players online. In addition to regular survival, the game also offers a storyline explaining the mysterious shrinking of the characters. A completely different atmosphere is presented by Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. It’s a brutal cooperative shooter set in the dark universe of Warhammer 40K. Players take on the role of convicts sent on virtually suicidal missions against the forces of Chaos. Darktide heavily emphasises a grim atmosphere, brutal melee combat, and team cooperation during intense clashes.

Sony tries to maintain interest in PS Plus after price hikes

The third major release of the month is Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, a more party-oriented game inspired by the Super Smash Bros. series. The game allows players to fight using characters from popular Nickelodeon cartoons, including SpongeBob, the Ninja Turtles, and Jimmy Neutron. Sony is clearly trying to build an offering focused on online gaming and local multiplayer this time. All three games will be available from 2 June to 6 July. Additionally, EA Sports FC 26 will remain available for subscribers until mid-June. The June offering is clearly aimed at encouraging users to actively use the service after recent price increases.

Sony is focusing mainly on cooperation and multiplayer in June, trying to maintain the appeal of PlayStation Plus after the subscription price increase. Grounded, Darktide, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 are meant to encourage players to team up for online gaming over the coming weeks.
