PlayStation is preparing new gear for gamers. We've learned the release dates and prices.

Sony has revealed new details about accessories that were first announced last year. The company aims to further develop the ecosystem of devices that work with both PlayStation 5 and personal computers. This time, the manufacturer has disclosed release dates, prices, and pre-order start dates for several new products. Among them are devices aimed at both fighting game fans and those building their own gaming setups. Sony notes that more and more players are using consoles outside of the traditional living room, which is why they are preparing equipment suited to modern desks and computer stations. The first devices will be available for sale in August.

ChooseTV to capture the attention of fighting game and tournament competition fans

The main novelty is the wireless controller FlexStrike. It’s the first fight stick in PlayStation history to use wireless communication. The device has been designed with competitive players in mind, particularly those involved in fighting games and tournament arcade games. Sony emphasises that the hardware was developed considering the needs of professional users and those who frequently travel to tournaments. The package will include a special transport bag to facilitate carrying the device. The manufacturer has also incorporated a built-in battery, meaning the controller does not require a constant wired connection. FlexStrike will be compatible with both PlayStation 5 and PCs. The official launch is set for 6 August 2026. The date is not coincidental as it coincides with the release of the game MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls. Pre-orders will start on 12 June. The device is priced at $199.99. Sony hopes that the new controller will become an attractive alternative to the popular fight sticks currently available on the market. The company aims to strengthen its presence in the e-sports gaming hardware segment in the future.

Monitor and new speakers are set to create a complete gaming setup

The second product is a 27-inch gaming monitor equipped with a special dock for charging the DualSense controller. The device features an IPS panel with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The screen supports VRR technology and refresh rates of up to 120 Hz on PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro consoles. For PCs and Macs, the frequency can increase to as much as 240 Hz. Sony emphasises that the monitor is designed for those using a console at a desk. Pre-orders will start on June 5, with the device priced at $349.99. The launch is set for August 27. The manufacturer also announced new wireless speakers, Pulse Elevate. These will extend the features known from the Pulse Explore and Pulse Elite headsets. Sony aims to provide a more spatial and immersive sound without needing to use headphones. The company has not yet disclosed the exact specifications or price of the device. It is only known that the speakers are expected to be available for sale before the end of 2026. In combination with the new monitor, they are set to create a complete setup designed for gaming outside of the lounge.

Sony is consistently expanding its range of equipment compatible with PlayStation 5. The biggest interest may be sparked by the wireless fight stick FlexStrike, which targets the community of fighting game and e-sport fans. At the same time, the company is developing the monitor and audio device segment, aiming to reach gamers using their own PC setups. The first products will debut in August, with more new items appearing before the end of the year. Everything suggests that Sony intends to compete more fiercely not only in the console market but also in gaming accessories.
