The first such project is Campus Confidential, a short reality series focused on the relationships and conflicts among the characters. The whole thing has been designed with the intention of being viewed on a mobile phone in vertical position. NBCUniversal believes that this format better aligns with modern mobile user habits. The company aims to leverage the popularity of short video content and bring it into the streaming world. This solution is expected to particularly appeal to younger viewers, who are increasingly consuming content via smartphones.

An important element of the new strategy will also be sports broadcasts in vertical format. Peacock is working on solutions that include NBA games and FIFA World Cup matches. Additionally, the platform is developing a project called Shop What Happens, which will combine watching materials with the ability to instantly purchase featured products. All of this shows that Peacock does not want to be just a classic VOD service. The company is trying to create a more interactive environment that will combine streaming, social media, and online shopping in one place.
