Microsoft has rolled out a new offer for Xbox Game Pass subscribers as part of the Free Play Days event. For the whole weekend players can try three different games completely free of charge, each representing a totally different genre. Among them are a popular home renovation simulator, a dark action title and a realistic racing simulator. It's another chance to test the full versions of the games before potentially buying them. Additionally, all the titles are available with limited-time promotions in the Xbox Store.
House Flipper 2, Blades of Fire and Assetto Corsa Competizione available free of charge
In the latest edition of Free Play Days Microsoft has made three titles available to holders of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and Game Pass Essential. The event runs from 25 to 28 June, giving players a few days to try the full versions of the games. The first is House Flipper 2, a detailed house renovation simulator. Players can buy run-down properties, renovate them, design their own interiors and sell them for a profit. The second offering is Blades of Fire, a dark action title from MercurySteam. The game focuses on demanding combat, a weapon-crafting system and an extensive story campaign. The developers recently released a major update labelled Version 2.0, which introduced, among other things, a New Game Plus mode, Photo Mode and further gameplay improvements. The third title is Assetto Corsa Competizione, regarded as one of the most realistic racing simulators available on consoles. The game features faithfully reproduced cars, official circuits and a highly detailed driving model developed by Kunos Simulazioni. All three titles can be downloaded at no extra cost for a limited time. After the event ends, players will keep any achievements and saved progress if they decide to buy the full game.
Free play and big discounts on selected titles
Microsoft has traditionally paired the Free Play Days event with discounts in the Xbox Store. That means players who enjoy the available games can buy them at reduced prices. The biggest cut went to Assetto Corsa Competizione, which saw its price reduced by as much as 75 per cent. Blades of Fire is also on sale now with a 25 per cent discount. House Flipper 2 remains available at its regular price, but you can play its full content over the weekend with no restrictions. To take advantage of the offer you just need an active subscription to one of the eligible Xbox Game Pass plans and to download the chosen title from the Xbox Store. The Free Play Days programme has long been one of Microsoft's most popular initiatives, letting players regularly try new releases at no extra cost. Each month the selection covers different genres, so everyone can find something for themselves. The latest edition is no exception and combines a relaxed simulator, fast-paced action and realistic racing. It’s a good chance to check out new titles before deciding to buy.
