Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone get a massive update. Season 5 kicks off on 23 July.

Calendar 7/14/2026

Activision has revealed details of Season 5 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone. The update will roll out to players on 23 July and will significantly expand the content of both titles. New additions include more multiplayer maps, new weapons, limited-time modes and extra content for the Zombies mode. The developers have also prepared changes for Warzone and a new Battle Pass. Season 5 looks set to be one of the biggest updates in Black Ops 7 history.

New maps, weapons and modes are coming to Black Ops 7

The biggest draw of the update will be new maps for multiplayer. A brand-new map, Jubilee, set in a Japanese town during a local festival, will join the rotation. Refreshed versions of Frequency and Dig, known from earlier entries in the series, will also return. Mid-season will bring the unusual, pinball-inspired map Turbo Tilt, as well as the obstacle course Freerun: Descent. Players will get two new limited-time modes: Overdrive Domination and Gauntlet Rush. The popular Cranked Moshpit will also make a comeback. Activision has confirmed the start of the next Ranked Play season, with new ranking rewards. The Battle Pass will feature the FG42 assault rifle and two Gremlin submachine guns for dual-wielding. As part of seasonal events players can also earn the Mammoth LMG and the melee weapon Mace. There will be new Operator skins, weapon blueprints and extra rewards in the BlackCell version. The star of the new Battle Pass will be the assassin Spectre, and BlackCell owners will also receive the Operator Cipher. The update will also include new skill upgrades available in the Endgame campaign. The developers are promising many special events throughout the season.

Warzone and Zombies will also get a big dose of new content

Warzone will gain a new point on the Verdansk map called Drone Labs. The location will offer new loot, an obstacle course and a chance to acquire an armed JLTV. The game will also get a new Killstreak called HKDs that uses combat drones, and a Quickdrop Kit item that shortens respawn time after elimination. The ranked Resurgence mode will return with new seasonal rewards. Zombies fans will get a new survival map, Eidskallen Lighthouse, and additional Rogue Run variants. Mid-season will debut a final round map and new equipment, including the Widow's Wine perk, an extra GobbleGum and two classic weapons. Activision is also expanding Directed Mode and further story-driven activities. All the new content will be available from 23 July, with some items arriving as a mid-season update. Season 5 will cover both Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone. The game is available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles.
