The premium television market has just gained another highly exclusive offering. C Seed, in collaboration with Bugatti, has unveiled the Bugatti N1, which combines Micro-LED technology with luxury design. Aimed at the wealthiest customers, the set stands out not only for its massive screen but also for its automatically folding design. The manufacturer says the TV could become part of the décor of the most exclusive residences. However, the price means it will remain a product available only to a select few. It’s another example of how the ultra-premium TV segment continues to push the boundaries of technological possibility.
Foldable Micro-LED screen inspired by Bugatti supercars
The Bugatti N1 is offered in 110- and 137-inch versions and uses Micro-LED technology. When switched off the TV retracts into a special housing, and it takes about 45 seconds to fully deploy. This is made possible by the screen's modular construction, made up of many smaller panels. The design is inspired by the styling of the Bugatti Tourbillon supercar, and it is made from aluminium and carbon fibre. Both variants offer 4K resolution and brightness of up to 1000 nits. The manufacturer also includes an integrated sound system, but the ports are limited to HDMI 2.0. Previously, C Seed produced a similar model bearing the Porsche name as well as larger versions designed even for installation on luxury yachts.
The price matches that of sports cars, but Micro-LED is becoming increasingly accessible
What impresses most, however, is the price of the new TV. The Bugatti N1 is priced at at least US$400,000, comparable to many sports cars. That makes the device a product aimed at a very narrow group of buyers. At the same time, Micro-LED technology is gradually making its way into the lineups of more traditional TV manufacturers. Samsung, Sony, LG, Hisense and TCL, among others, are developing the technology. In particular, TCL recently cut the price of its 163-inch Micro-LED TV dramatically, reducing it from about US$110,000 to US$36,500. Although these are still very high sums, they show the technology is slowly moving towards wider availability. For now, however, the Bugatti N1 remains primarily a showcase of what’s possible and a symbol of luxury.
The Bugatti N1 is one of the most exclusive TVs to hit the market. Its foldable design, Micro-LED display and luxury materials come with a price tag of around $400,000. Although the device will remain a niche product, it points the way for premium TV technology.
