Apple Creator Studio gets a huge update. AI, Pixelmator and Final Cut Pro even closer together

Apple is expanding its tools for creators and doubling down on artificial intelligence. The company has announced a major update to the Apple Creator Studio suite, which brings dozens of new features for users of Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro and office apps. The changes are intended to speed up work on video, graphics and music, while better tying all the apps together across the Apple ecosystem.

Final Cut Pro and Pixelmator Pro with new AI features

The biggest changes went to Final Cut Pro, which received new features using on-device AI. The app can now automatically generate captions from the audio track and detect earlier cuts in finalised footage, making it easier to re-edit a project. On Macs there’s also an Auto Mask feature that automatically recognises elements of the image, such as people, sky, hair and clothing, making editing and colour correction much simpler. Apple has also improved the colour-matching tools and clip trimming. Major updates also arrived for Pixelmator Pro. The app is even more tightly integrated with Final Cut Pro, Keynote, Pages and Numbers. Users can open images from those apps in Pixelmator with one click, edit them and have the changes saved automatically back into the project. Vector shape generation has been added, along with new AI tools for creating graphics and a Content Hub library of ready-made assets for use in projects.

Logic Pro and Apple’s entire ecosystem gain new capabilities

Apple hasn’t forgotten music creators either. Logic Pro has received improved chord detection, new features for the Beat Breaker tool and the Granular Alchemy Sound Pack. The most interesting addition, however, is the Producer Project app, which lets you look inside professional music projects and analyse how producers work.

The update also includes the Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform apps, which have gained new editing features, extra effects and even better integration with Pixelmator Pro. Apple emphasises that the aim of the changes is to create a single, coherent environment for creative work, where users can move seamlessly between video editing, graphic design, document creation and music production.
