Calendar 5/25/2026

Microsoft has published another list of games coming to Xbox consoles and PC in the coming days. This time the list is especially long and includes both major AAA releases and smaller independent productions. The biggest attention is drawn to the new James Bond game, 007 First Light, from the creators of Hitman. In addition, new RPGs, horror games, cooperative games, and several more unusual indie projects will appear in Game Pass. Xbox is clearly trying to maintain a very strong pace of releases before the start of the summer industry showcases. For Game Pass subscribers, the end of May may be one of the more interesting parts of the entire month.

James Bond and Game Pass are set to be the biggest stars at the end of May on Xbox

The biggest release in the coming days will undoubtedly be 007 First Light from IO Interactive. The game will tell a new story of young James Bond and showcase the beginnings of his career in MI6. The production is set to combine stealth, action, chases, and a more cinematic style of gameplay known from the Hitman series. Players will be able to complete missions in various ways and utilize different gadgets and vehicles. Echo Generation 2 is also being heavily promoted, which will be available on Game Pass from the day of its release. The game combines science fiction with RPG and a card deck-building system. The subscription will also feature Kabuto Park, a more tranquil game about catching and training insects during the summer. Microsoft is clearly focusing this time on a very diverse set of releases to appeal to different groups of players.

Horrors, cooperation, and a ton of indie games flood the end of May on Xbox

In the coming days, there will also be a huge number of smaller indie productions and horrors. Among them is Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5, which continues the popular horror series featuring Huggy Wuggy. Mina the Hollower from the creators of Shovel Knight is also generating a lot of interest. Fans of cooperation will get Crashout Crew, a chaotic game about working in a warehouse full of forklifts and disasters. There will also be calmer productions like Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar and Cottonville. Microsoft is increasingly showing that it wants to expand the Xbox library not only with big blockbusters but also with a huge number of smaller projects available practically every week.

The end of May on Xbox is shaping up to be exceptionally intense thanks to the release of 007 First Light, new games in Game Pass, and a large number of indie and horror productions. Microsoft is clearly maintaining a very strong pace of releases leading up to the summer industry showcases.
