What's new on streaming? 4 premieres worth checking out

Calendar 2/18/2026

Streaming platforms are speeding up again. In recent weeks, productions have emerged that quickly made it into the TOP 10 and sparked quite a bit of discussion online. Netflix focuses on spectacular sci-fi, Prime Video opts for brutal action, Disney+ expands iconic universes, and Apple TV+ adds ambitious thrillers. If you don’t know what to watch in the evening, below are four strong recommendations from different platforms. Each of them represents a completely different genre.

Netflix - 3 Body Problem

A spectacular adaptation of the cult science fiction novel. The series tells the story of humanity's contact with an extraterrestrial civilization and the consequences that could change the future of Earth. A large budget, global scale, and production by the creators of "Game of Thrones" make it one of the most ambitious Netflix premieres.

Prime Video - Road House

The new version of the iconic action movie from the 80s, this time starring Jake Gyllenhaal. The story of a former UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer at a bar in Florida quickly turns into a brutal confrontation with the local underworld. Dynamic fight scenes and a very contemporary tone.

Disney+ – ChooseTV (Season 3)

One of the highest-rated series of recent years returns with another season. "The Bear" tells the story of a young chef who tries to save his family's restaurant while also sorting out his own life. This is not a classic cooking show; it is an intense drama about pressure, ambition, and interpersonal relationships. Dynamic editing, great dialogue, and a tense atmosphere make every episode feel like a thriller.

Apple TV+ – Masters of the Air

A war blockbuster from the creators of “Band of Brothers.” The series focuses on American bomber pilots during World War II. Large scale, realistic aerial battle scenes, and high production quality are the hallmarks of this production.
