LG Display published financial results for the third quarter of 2026. The Korean panel maker recorded revenue of 6.28 trillion won and an operating profit of 250.6 billion won. After a loss in the previous quarter, the company returned to profit and plans to base its further growth primarily on OLED technology.
LG Display returns to profit
LG Display's revenue rose 12% compared with the second quarter, mainly due to higher shipments of large OLED panels and displays for mobile devices. Operating profit came to 250.6 billion won, while the previous quarter the company recorded a loss of 107.7 billion won.
Not all figures are positive, however. Compared with the third quarter of 2025, revenue fell 10%, and operating profit declined from 431 billion won. Net profit, meanwhile, increased to 755.6 billion won, partly thanks to more favorable results on foreign exchange-related financial operations.
Cheaper OLED TVs and more gaming monitors
LG Display announces plans to further strengthen its OLED lineup. In the TV segment the company wants to develop both premium panels and more competitively priced options. The manufacturer also plans to expand the Gaming OLED series for monitors. At the same time, it is working on technologies designed to lower display manufacturing costs. One of them is FLiPP, a new method for precisely forming OLED structures.
For buyers this means the prospect of a wider selection of OLED TVs and monitors in the years ahead. However, LG Display did not provide specific launch dates or the scale of any potential price cuts.
