Sony showcases an OLED monitor with a 720 Hz refresh rate that is aimed directly at esports and ultimate fluidity.

Sony presents a new version of its gaming monitor and immediately raises the bar for the entire market. The Inzone M10S II is a device aimed at the most demanding players, especially those involved in esports. The biggest distinguishing feature here is the absurdly high refresh rate, which under the right conditions can reach as high as 720 Hz.

Extreme Fluidity and OLED Technology

The monitor features a modern Tandem WOLED panel from LG, which means excellent image quality and an extremely fast response time of 0.02 ms. At a native resolution of 1440p, the hardware offers 540 Hz, and in lowered resolution, it can reach the mentioned 720 Hz. Sony adds to this the BFI technology, or Black Frame Insertion, which improves motion clarity by inserting black frames between consecutive images. The effect? Even clearer images in dynamic scenes, though at the cost of potential flickering. This solution will be particularly appreciated by FPS gamers, where every millisecond counts.

Equipment for professionals but not for everyone

Inzone M10S II was created in collaboration with the organization Fnatic, which clearly indicates its purpose. It is a monitor for those who play at the highest level and need maximum precision. There is also a 24-inch mode at a lower resolution, which may appeal to fans of classic esports settings. However, it is not ideal equipment for everyone. For example, it lacks USB-C and built-in speakers, and the price of around 1100 dollars clearly indicates that it is a premium product. However, Sony is trying to allay concerns about OLED by offering a 3-year warranty covering screen burn-in.
