Sony is expanding its gaming audio accessory lineup with a brand-new product. The Pulse Elevate is designed to combine the sound quality of more advanced devices with the convenience of wireless speakers. Sony designed it with both a gaming setup and use on the go in mind. Presales in selected markets will begin on September 2.

Pulse Elevate are designed to provide high-quality sound while gaming

The new Sony speakers feature planar magnetic drivers, which are intended to deliver detailed, natural sound across the audible range. On the PS5, this technology will also work with Tempest 3D AudioTech, allowing more precise localization of sounds in compatible games. Built-in woofers provide stronger low-end. An important feature of the Pulse Elevate is PlayStation Link, which offers low latency and lossless audio transmission. The speakers will be compatible with PS5, PC, Mac, and the PlayStation Portal. They also support Bluetooth, so users can connect an additional device without giving up audio delivered via PlayStation Link. Sony has also addressed voice communication. The right speaker includes a built-in microphone with AI-powered noise reduction, designed to remove unwanted ambient sounds. This allows users to have voice conversations while gaming without wearing a headset.

Wireless speakers can be taken away from your gaming setup

The Pulse Elevate are meant to be more than a classic desktop speaker set. Thanks to the built-in battery, they can also be used away from the desk, for example when gaming on the PlayStation Portal or on a mobile device via Bluetooth. Docking stations will also be included to make charging easier when you return to your desk.

Users will also be able to tailor the sound to their preferences. From the PS5 or a PC you can adjust the equalizer, sidetone, volume, and microphone mute. The speakers themselves can be positioned either horizontally or vertically, depending on the setup configuration. The Pulse Elevate will debut in Midnight Black and White. In selected Southeast Asian markets the launch is scheduled for November 12, 2026, and preorders will start on September 2. Sony set prices at 319 SGD, 1,099 MYR, 8,499 THB, 14,709 PHP, or 6,999,000 VND, depending on the market.

Pulse Elevate is the first wireless speaker system developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment with gamers who use the PS5 and other devices in mind. The key elements of the set are planar drivers, PlayStation Link, a built-in microphone with AI noise reduction, and a rechargeable battery that lets you use the speakers away from your desk. The product is intended to be an interesting alternative for people who don't want to use headphones while gaming. So far Sony has confirmed a November 12 launch in select Southeast Asian markets, and details about availability in other regions will be revealed later.
