Samsung showcases a powerful OLED monitor. 4K and 360 Hz in one device.

The market for monitors for gamers and professionals is developing at a breakneck pace. Just recently, the combination of 4K resolution and high refresh rates was reserved for the most expensive models. However, Samsung Display is taking it a step further. The company has just presented a new 32-inch QD-OLED panel that offers not only 4K and 360 Hz but also an improved pixel structure designed to eliminate one of the biggest problems with modern OLED screens.

4K at 360 Hz and even 680 Hz in special mode

Samsung's new panel has a diagonal of 32 inches and an aspect ratio of 16:9. The manufacturer emphasizes that this is the first QD-OLED screen offering a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels and a refresh rate of 360 Hz at the same time. Additionally, users will be able to take advantage of the Dual Mode, which lowers the resolution to Full HD but increases the refresh rate to as high as 680 Hz. This is a result that places the new matrix among the most advanced gaming panels on the market.

New pixels are designed to improve text readability

Samsung has also implemented a new RGB Stripe subpixel layout, referred to by the company as V-Stripe. This solution aims to provide sharper edges for letters and enhance readability while working on documents, programming, graphic design, or editing video materials. This is a response to one of the most frequently criticized aspects of earlier OLED screens. The panel has obtained VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification, indicating a peak brightness of at least 600 nits while maintaining the perfect black characteristic of OLED technology.

Production will commence later this year

The mass production of the new panel is set to start in the second half of 2026. Samsung Display has announced that it is already in talks with ten monitor manufacturers. Among the potential partners are brands such as Samsung Electronics, ASUS, MSI, and Dell. The first devices utilizing the new matrix may be showcased before the end of the year.

The 4K connection, 360 Hz, and the new RGB Stripe layout make Samsung's new QD-OLED panel one of the most interesting monitor debuts of 2026. If monitor manufacturers quickly implement this technology, gamers and professionals will receive equipment offering both the highest image quality and exceptional smoothness of operation.
