Samsung boasts another success – the latest OLED 2025 (model S95F) has been officially awarded the Real Black certificate by the German institute VDE. This means that the television actually meets the highest standards in black reproduction, not only in a perfectly dark room but also in a bright living room or even in direct sunlight.
In tests, the panel with Glare-Free 2.0 technology confirmed that it can maintain a black level below 0.005 nits, minimizes reflections, and does not lose detail when there is a lot of light around. In other words – we are talking about a television that shows "true black" where most screens show a gray spot.
“It's proof that our OLEDs set a new standard for quality” – comments Hoon Seol from Samsung Electronics Germany. On the other hand, the head of VDE, Ansgar Hinz, emphasizes: “Samsung OLED stood out in the toughest tests – from cinema conditions to bright living rooms. This is an example of technological perfection.”
What was checked?
Black level in a dark room – must be ≤0.005 nits.
Reflections in a bright room – minimal disturbances under strong light.
Screen gloss – effectiveness of the Glare-Free coating.
TV for Movies and Gamers
In addition to the Real Black certification, Samsung adds something for gamers – AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and compatibility with NVIDIA G-SYNC. This means no tearing and smooth performance even during dynamic scenes. Plus, the colors and contrast are impressive whether you’re watching a movie in 4K HDR or playing the latest titles.
For 19 consecutive years, Samsung has been number one in the TV market and it’s clear that they do not intend to give up their lead. The OLED S95F is another example that the company focuses not only on marketing slogans but also on real certifications that confirm quality.
