LG is bringing the CineBeam AI HU925V projector to the Japanese market, allowing an image up to 120 inches diagonally without having to place the projector at the far end of the room. The new model uses three RGB lasers, offers 4K resolution and 3000 ANSI lumens of brightness. It also includes artificial intelligence features.
120 inches almost up against the wall
The LG CineBeam AI HU925V is an ultra-short-throw (UST) projector using DLP technology. To produce a 90-inch image it needs just 5.6 cm of distance from the wall. At 9.8 cm you get 100 inches, while 18.3 cm yields the maximum 120 inches.
The unit uses three independent lasers for red, green, and blue. The manufacturer specifies 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, 94% DCI-P3 coverage, and a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1. The projector also supports HDR10 and HLG.
Artificial intelligence and webOS
The projector is equipped with the Alpha 8 AI 4K Gen3 processor, which handles image and sound optimization. It runs webOS 26, offering access to apps such as Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video. It also supports Google Cast, AirPlay 2 and AI features powered by Google Gemini.
LG outfitted the unit with stereo speakers rated at a total of 40 W and Dolby Atmos FlexConnect technology, allowing the audio to be expanded with compatible wireless speakers.
The CineBeam AI HU925V already debuted in September in South Korea and will go on sale in Japan at the end of October. The expected price is about 616,000 yen, which is roughly PLN 15,000 by direct conversion. So far LG has not confirmed the Polish price or availability date.
