Samsung is preparing a colorful push. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 are set to surprise with more than just their specs.

Samsung is preparing to launch the next generation of foldable smartphones, and new details about their appearance have just surfaced online. This time it’s not about the camera, processor, or body thickness, but about something equally important to many users: colors and memory configurations. According to the latest leak, the manufacturer plans an unusually wide range of variants for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. It’s also clear that Samsung wants to more clearly differentiate the character of the individual devices. The Flip is set to remain lighter and more youthful, while the Fold and its Ultra version will aim for a more elegant, premium look.

Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to be bolder, and the Fold 8 more premium

Leaked information indicates that Galaxy Z Flip 8 will come in Cream, Graphite, Mint and Pink. This lineup clearly shows Samsung still wants to position the Flip series as the more stylish, lifestyle-oriented model within its foldable family. The Mint and Pink shades in particular are meant to emphasize the device's more playful character and attract users who want something less conservative than classic black or beige. The larger models look completely different. Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected in Cream, Graphite, Lavender and Pistachio, so the palette remains elegant but with a subtle touch of more unusual accents. Even more interesting is the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which is said to be available in Cream, Graphite, Green Shadow and Violet Shadow. The names themselves suggest darker, more muted finishes intended to highlight the most expensive model's exclusive nature. In practice this could mean Samsung wants to further separate the styling of each series. The Flip is meant to be a more fashion-forward, lightweight device, while the Fold and Fold Ultra are intended to feel like premium mobile tools. Cream and Graphite remain common to all models and will most likely be the standard options. If the leak proves true, Samsung will once again show that in the foldable smartphone segment it aims to compete not only on specs, but also on style. At a time when many smartphones look almost identical, that kind of variety can matter to buyers. Especially since we're talking about top-tier devices where appearance is often as important as technical capabilities. Samsung seems to understand that very well.

There will also be plenty of storage, and the model naming is starting to clear up

A leak reveals not only the colors but also the storage configurations, and here Samsung doesn’t intend to skimp. Galaxy Z Flip 8 is said to be available in 256 GB and 512 GB versions. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra are expected to come in three variants: 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB of internal storage. That’s important because lately some manufacturers have been cutting the number of configurations to reduce storage-related costs. Samsung apparently decided, though, that it can’t make too many compromises with its foldable flagships, especially since these devices are positioned as the brand’s most advanced smartphones. The division within the Fold line is also becoming clearer. According to the leak, the larger, more advanced model will indeed be released as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, rather than the Fold 8 Wide name that was previously rumored. That could mean Samsung wants to align its foldables even more with the naming scheme used for the Galaxy S and Galaxy Ultra series. There are also reports of a launch planned for the second half of July. Earlier leaks suggested the Galaxy Z Flip 8 might get a more useful external display, though without a major jump in charging speed. The Galaxy Z Fold 8, in turn, is expected to offer a large, tablet-like internal screen, but it may not get an absolutely top-tier camera array. For now all of this remains unofficial, but together the details are starting to form an increasingly coherent picture of Samsung’s push in the foldable smartphone segment this year.

The latest leak suggests Samsung is preparing a much broader lineup for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The company plans to offer both more color options and higher-capacity storage variants, and the foldable smartphone line will be split even more into lifestyle and premium models.
