A new unusual horror is hitting the market, but this time it's about more than just fear. Project Songbird focuses on atmosphere, emotions, and story, trying to combine gameplay with a cinematic experience. It's a production aimed at fans of calmer, yet intense narratives, rather than typical action.

Horror Inspired by Movies and Narrative

In the game, we take on the role of a musician who travels to an isolated forest to record an album. However, it quickly becomes clear that the location hides something much darker. The project creator draws inspiration not only from games but also from cinema. Influences from productions like Alan Wake and What Remains of Edith Finch are evident, where the story and atmosphere are more important than the gameplay itself. The whole experience resembles a slowburn horror, which builds tension gradually rather than resorting to forced scares.

Project Songbird does not turn the protagonist into a super soldier. Every fight is challenging, and the character feels the weight of the weapon and limitations. Therefore, the game encourages sneaking and planning. Various tools are available to help avoid confrontation and survive. This approach makes the tension rise naturally, and every decision matters.

Small game, but big ambitions

The project is being developed as an indie game, which gives the creator greater freedom to experiment. The game is intended to be a personal experience, focused on emotions and atmosphere. This way, Project Songbird can stand out against larger productions that often prioritize spectacle over depth.

Project Songbird is a proposition for players who are looking for something more atmospheric and narrative-oriented. The combination of horror, film, and personal story can create a truly unique experience. If everything aligns, it could be one of the more interesting indie games in this atmosphere.
