PlayStation Plus with another major update. Hit RPGs and action games will be added to the service.

Calendar 6/13/2026

June looks particularly interesting for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Sony has revealed another batch of games that will enrich the Extra and Premium service catalog. This time, players can look forward to both major RPG titles, dynamic action games, and a few less obvious titles that may turn out to be a pleasant surprise.

Final Fantasy XVI and Sonic lead the June lineup

The biggest star of the update is undoubtedly Final Fantasy XVI. The latest installment of the iconic series transports players to the dark world of Valisthea, where political conflicts, the struggle for power, and personal revenge play a crucial role. It is also one of the most spectacular entries in the series, heavily focusing on a dynamic combat system. The second major release is Sonic X Shadow Generations, which combines a refreshed version of the cult classic Sonic Generations with an entirely new campaign dedicated to Shadow. Players will uncover the story of one of the most recognizable heroes in the Sonic universe while returning to classic stages in a new graphic style. The lineup also features Life is Strange: Double Exposure, where we will once again take on the role of Max Caulfield. The protagonist will try to unravel the mystery of a murder while moving between two parallel realities.

RPGs, simulators, and classics for subscribers

Fans of realistic RPGs can prepare for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which will be added to the catalog in a refreshed version for PS5. The game allows players to experience the medieval story of Henry, the son of a blacksmith caught up in a brutal armed conflict.

Among the other new additions are:

  • Farming Simulator 25

  • Blades of Fire

  • Black Desert

Meanwhile, Premium package users will gain access to the classic rhythm game Gitaroo Man, which returns to modern PlayStation consoles after many years.

The June update for PlayStation Plus is one of the strongest of the year. Sony is primarily focusing on major RPG and action games, but it also remembers fans of simulations and classic titles. The biggest interest will undoubtedly be generated by Final Fantasy XVI, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and Sonic X Shadow Generations, which can effectively attract new subscribers to the service.
